Who we are
James Lo
Founder
Somo is James Lo's personal holding company.
James is currently CEO of Ethos, the AI copilot for business research, backed by Partners at McKinsey, SoftBank, LocalGlobe, Jane Street and others. He was co-founder/CEO of Mana, an AI productivity suite for SMEs backed by top-tier investors like GFC and Goodwater, that reached #1 on Product Hunt.
He started his career at McKinsey, then joined SoftBank, where he drove transformations at WeWork and Arm. He also represented SoftBank as advisor to GIGA, the UN/ITU program to connect every school to the internet, backed by Elon Musk.
Passionate about advancing social mobility, he led growth at Generation UK, the world's largest youth employment program; advises the CEC, UK's national body for careers education; and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
